Alisha started playing the saxophone at the age of 11 under instruction of Miles Tranter at the United World College of S.E Asia. Five years later; she could be spotted playing professionally around Singapore’s Night Clubs & Bars.  At the age of 17, Alisha was awarded the Trinity High Scorers Award in Singapore, after playing at the Trinity Concert 2003 located at the Singapore DBS Arts Theater. At the end of 2006 Alisha received a Bachelor of Music in Jazz saxophone and education preparation from Australia’s prestigious Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane.   Alisha has had the opportunity to gig all around the world in major cities such as Houston, Ho Chi Minh City, Perth, Singapore and Brisbane.  As of 2007 Alisha relocated to the USA (Houston, Texas) to further pursue her musical career, and has been actively involved in the blues and jazz scene around town.   Alisha does numerous 'sit in' gigs with jazz, blues and party bands around the Houston area.  Be sure to check out her gig schedule and catch her live!
